Dr. Brinetta P. Thomas

Dr. Brinetta was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Considered a “pew baby,” she spent much of her early years with the mothers of the church. Prayer meetings, bible studies, choir rehearsals, and church cleaning were some of her regular activities. It was here that she fell in love with God. Dr. Brinetta’s first ministerial experience was at age 3 when she led her first song while holding on to her mother’s choir rob.

She’s been singing and ministering in some capacity ever since. Dr. Brinetta graduated from David Starr Jordan High School in Long Beach, California. She studied Human Development at Whittier College and earned a Master’s in Special Education at Cal-State Dominguez Hills. An anointed teacher, Dr. Brinetta has taught every grade from preschool through college level. She also spent several years as a Charter School Principal. A champion for education, she continues her work in the classroom.

Now a Master Teacher, she works for the Center for Teacher Innovation, assisting new teachers in clearing their credentials. Dr. Brinetta holds a Doctorate Degree in Ministry, a PhD. in Biblical Studies, and an honorary Doctorate in Divinity. She has a deep passion for building youth and is known inside and outside the classroom for her tough-love approach. A singer/songwriter, she has recorded three CDs of original music.

Additionally, she is delighted to include “published author” in her accomplishments list. Dr. Brinetta considers herself an ambassador of the Kingdom of God who is determined to share the gospel in any form necessary to win souls for Christ.
